Something like 50 million cats?
Here's what I said when I first played with the alpha of v4: http://alexisohanian.com/an-open-letter-to-kevin-rose
Only the burritos. I was just there two days ago and all I miss are the burritos and maybe the consistent coffee-weather.
Literally none that I know of.
It came to me while sitting under the Bodhi tree.
Don't forget the gay-guys geek-crushing, I love them too!
I already did an AMA there :) this is a different audience and Joe and Sam were so nice to me.
I haven't! I had a 52 bard in EQ and a 60 paladin in WoW before we started reddit. I haven't been able to get into those kinds of life-draining games since, I'm afraid. So no minecraft for me, but I'm super impressed by it, its community, and notch!
this fall it'll be /r/redskins but my frontpage has so damn many subreddit subscriptions.... /r/worldnews maybe?
Kickstarter. Had an idea for something similar, but more narrow. But like I said earlier, ideas don't mean shit. Execution ftw. I love the model of crowdfunding, which a big part of why I invested in http://crowdtilt.com which covers the other side of it that kickstarter doesn't.
Only half. But my best half! ;) http://fellowsblog.kiva.org/2010/03/03/ararat-me-one-armenians-return-to-the-homeland/
I think of 4chan as the primordial ooze. If it makes it to reddit's frontpage it's reached land and crawled out... then on to facebook/twitter/tumblr etc. I feel pretty good about that.

We agreed, grabbed a train back to Boston and chatted for about an hour. PG asked us to build something based on the web (our idea was mobile…
The shaman told me it would get even bigger!
I feel this way about all of my projects - standing on the shoulders of giants. reddit wasn't the first of its kind (though, we didn't know about digg until after we launched, which ended up being a tremendous boon because of how differently we built the site - instead of copying). breadpig is just "Newman's Own for…
I try not to be on it for more than an hour a day (thanks to Rescuetime). I've got work to do :(
You should read my e-book on the subject ;) http://www.hyperink.com/cloud/read/1478 but back 05 there weren't a lot of options (no social media to speak of) so a lot of hustle. Launching hipmunk in 10 was a dream by comparison.
Thanks to my parents genes and my aversion to playing contact sports or in any way risking bodily harm.
Yep. I did one a little while back on reddit and they asked me nicely. Also, I used to work with Joe over at WIRED. http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/vfosl/iamalexis_ohanian_startup_founder_internet/
Heh. I did one a couple weeks ago. And Gizmodo asked me nicely. www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/vfosl/iamalexis_ohanian_startup_founder_internet/
