@mkbruin: Oh interesting, I had not heard that you actually can't disengage this transmission at will.

I keep going back and forth in my mind about this guys incident. I've seen the vids showing how a prius disengages the throttle when the gas is hit, and how the neutral selector works at WOT, so yes, this should not happen to a correctly working prius.
