I think Reloaded is better than the original. I thought it was a tremendous challenge and they rose to meet it. It takes the story in a new, but logical direction and doesn’t just repeat the original plot. One thing that really impressed me is that they almost totally abandoned bullet time. This sucks. And hurts. My father loved Clapton. Worshiped at his alter of guitar playing to the point of handcrafting his own amp to duplicate the amp Clapton used on the legendary John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers album. Owned multiple Strats, of course. Could play pretty much any Clapton solo note for note.

I wonder how well the I’ve-never-heard-of-you-or-this-song defense works in these cases? Isn’t it plausible that the two songs came to fruition independently and just happen to sound similar?

The Blank Check episode on Used Cars features the same foursome in one of my favorite conversations about comedy every recorded. I’d never heard of the movie and the episode is still an all-time classic.
