I was a couple of years older, and my affliction was so strong that I deluded myself into thinking it was good and went back to watch in theaters 3 times, until in a moment of sadness and resignation in the darkness of the cinema, I muttered that the movie actually sucked and walked out. I get all of the points that

Nothing snaps to mind.

Seriously a Adam Sandler needs to find a new place to vacation for the summer. He’s like a fucking cicada, except instead of eating our crops, his production crew shows up every few years to fucking shut traffic down.

This is a weird flex for content that isn’t sponsored.

“It looks like Godzilla has been hitting the gym between movies.” Can we see *that* movie?

You can’t even stick the landing? Weak.

I can think of a 72 year-old who currently resides in the D.C. area that should definitely get a good back-kicking.

My sad realization is that there are/only ever will be two good musical biopics, and they are both mockumentaries.

Anatomy of an alternate scene.

So I get all of these arguments about the lazy writing and shoehorning in hundreds of pages worth of plot and character into a 15-minute heel turn. I’d argue that are similarly guilty of not properly setting this up ahead of time (they’ve had almost all the seasons, with GRRM available, to get this right).

So it was actually Keanu Reeves, then?

I don’t know anything about this show except that it’s based on Archie comics, but what the hell is going on in this screenshot? A follow-up question and a comment. What kind of fucked up place lets teenagers box grown men way above their weight class? And if the outcome of that boxing match was anything besides that

That Mjölnir is a real fickle bitch.

Echoing what others have said, I found the opener effective precisely because I saw I immediately recognized what was going to happen. It’s not like it takes a practiced cinematic mind to see it coming. The Ant Man & The Wasp, on the other hand, was more jarring because it felt substantially removed from the

Can’t wait to see them reassembled next month, but I hope the GZA being missing here is just a one-time absence.

In a perfectly economical world, Elisabeth Shue’s character would be married to Okumoto’s character. I just need to hear him say “maybe trouble... looking for you,” while one of his teenage daughters is Instagramming absently in the background, and basically undercutting his villainous potency at every turn.

As long as this season ends with Yuji Okumoto returning as Sato’s nephew, along with his two teenage kids, vowing to make life a living hell for Daniel-san in Season 3, all can be forgiven.

I love Thor’s Wakanda entrance, except his entrances in Ragnarok were much by comparison.

Nothing against the writers, but I hate ranked lists, because I feel like they have continually reference the movie’s placement in the ranking as they are writing about it, and punch up the praise or critique accordingly.

I get it - this is for clicks in the lead-up to the movie, not really for readers.

Because I think you meant Willy Nelson.
