I think this is more true when you're married… or older. Young people don't stay in relationships they're bored in, especially when they've got options.

yeah…no.

it wasn't meaningless to HER… which is the whole point.

This type of false equivalency is rampant… hence all the clinton trump comparisons.

and again… it was a friend of his from college…that nothing happened with!

It wasn't meaningless… she wanted to be with him until it was obvious he wasn't interested.

the point was he stopped it… and they were friends since college, it wasn't someone new that he developed feelings for. Not the same in any way to what she did.

If you're at the point where you're looking around for other options it's time to move on

If you're in your twenties, you're not married, and you have no kids… it depends on one thing…. are you happy? If not… move on. She doesn't need him for rent.. there's literally no reason for her to stay.

Yes… and when I was unhappy, I ended them. WOuld you stay in a relationship you were unhappy in? That's unfair to yourself AND your partner

One major flaw… MAJOR. If she's not married, she's young, attractive and has a decent job… then WHY would she stay with someone if she's not happy? And that goes for him too.

Sorry, but being friends with someone that may have had some level of added emotional subtext is not the same as as carrying out a full blown physical affair … found the whole thing infuriating. Of course, it was also realistic…but still infuriating. Are we supposed to be hating her? Because, I'm sure I'm not the only
