As a (now former) owner of two different generation outbacks and someone who is very close with folks who each own one of the previous and most recent Outback generations, respectively....I will say something is most likely wrong with your Outback.  They are only loud on cold start and it’s from under the engine bay

Edited because apparently I’m the last one to the party and everyone else said the same thing lol.

I was slightly sad that Kamala kept things so far above the belt. I know she had to but she’s an absolute shark and could have really destroyed Pence. My takeaway so far is that Kamala was far harsher and unrelenting when debating Biden in the primaries than she has been against the true opponents in the actual

I nearly considered one of these when I was buying a new car over the summer.  I ended up with a stinger because it’s better in nearly every way except not being a wagon.  The Jag was a brand new 2018 model that had been marked down from a 72k MSRP to $45,000 bucks.  That kind of depreciation is so ugly I couldn’t

Meh, the original WRX had a lot more torque and is/was one of the most easily tunable platforms ever made and it actually cost less than the MX5 and cost less than the current BRZ even adjusted for inflation.

The MX5 and BRZ sell very few cars. No, their owners don’t complain but the people who don’t buy them

I’m not sad about the drop in driving.  It was absurd for huge sectors of the economy to have to wake up and fight road raged commuters just to sit down in a cubicle to open up a laptop for online meetings.

If you look at the market, I think Sportscars are already seeing a resurgence, especially if you lump in muscle cars and sports sedans.

yeah, some people love them. I feel no better about BMW, Audi and Merc products myself. But Rover stuff is especially terrible. I got a neighbor who’s had two LR3's a 2010 that got totaled and then a 2011. He asks me to help him with it all the time, I never say yes. So far: headlight bulb, cracked radiator, cracked

It’s possible with a cable parking brake to not apply it when you should and damage the parking gear.  Furthermore, on a manual transmission car it’s possible to turn off the car and leave it in neutral without the parking brake applied and have your car freewheel down the street into someone’s house.  It’s just

Always disclose to a private party - the blowback can come your way.

Don’t worry about it with a Dealer, they are snakes anyway AND will often warranty a used car for 90 days.  Sucks but just maximize your dollar.

Oh I have. I mean heck, I use corner molding in my house and it costs way more than a car.

At least the motorcycle folks are unlikely to spread Covid to any poor minorities.  They’ll just spread it to older and poor whites, because they are all white and mostly lack any diversity in their social circles back home.  Joking/not joking.

I dno’t ralely crae buesace tehir craes are all peiecs of carp.

I’d typically agree but with Covid I wouldn’t be that surprised that these cars are getting bought but then parked and not driven that much and perhaps have a particularly welcoming design for rodents to seek shelter and do stuff.  It’s still unlikely but having just bought a new car myself and already had it sit long

I wasn’t knocking you at all. Sorry if the tone was off. Back to the pads though, it’s a preference. If you’re okay with aggressively bedding the stock pads every once in a while you can maintain smooth operation with the quietness and low dust they come with. If you don’t like that and don’t mind more dust and cold

That’s precisely why I have already bought a GT2 AWD. CPO stingers are an amazing deal BTW and lockdown has helped with getting those deals.

I owned a 2008 Subaru Outback before.  The stinger is nearly as practical in terms of interior space.  Not quite.  I just wish they had an option to swap the sunroof for a roof

Well it actually doesn’t. The stinger is still better at a lot of things like not breaking down after 50k miles and being a dealer service shop queen. It also doesn’t set off the ‘cock-o-meter’ nearly as much.

They aren’t even warped rotors. It’s just a brake pad bedding issue since Kia opted to go with an ultra low-noise and low dust ‘performance’ brake compound. They figured these ass-hat snooty drivers would complain more of break squeal and dust than the brakes vibrating like crazy at high speeds.

There’s a cheap an easy

Honestly, I think the stinger’s sales issue is marketing. Like it’s marketed as a GT2 trim being better than German sports sedans in the same price range. But in actuality it’s the lower trims in AWD form that are selling a lot more as a CUV alternative.

I wish that data was being collected and kept. My money is that
