Claire moved on From Matt in DD. Issue resolved
Why would Jessica matter to anyone on this show? Besides Luke, Claire was the only one to have met her and that was a very brief encounter. Also, I dont think Luke is the kinda guy who goes around talking about his love life.
But she's not just a random woman, Mariah is a city councilwoman who has been in the middle of high profile press conferences.I could see her political cache being enough to let her go verses the recorded word of a dead waitress.
To be fair though, were just TOLD its proof that he was framed by Diamondback. It could be a 100 pages of chinese menus for all Luke knows.
That's not true at all. He was was an awe of her after the kiss, and honestly most of the show.
Adam Warlock gathered the heroes. Doom is a bit player in IG
I love how (Green) Arrow has more sidekicks on his show than Batman has over the course of five years vs 75 years.
"Family Matters" and "227" were star vehicles for Reginald VelJohnson and Marla Gibbs respectivily, who came off of popular movies (Die Hard 1 and 2)or TV("The Jeffersons"), in a way that "The Cosby Show" and "Home Improvement" were and the shows you mentioned were not.
Other than Urkel and Jackée in "Family Matters" and "227" respectvily, I cant think of too many shows where the breakout star outshines the star the show was built around. And certainly not the put upon wife who has to deal with their immature husband's antics.
Phylicia Rashad pulls an equal amount of weight and is irreplaceable in a way that the mother from "The Fresh Prince" wasnt- the chemistry of sitcoms based around the relationships of the husband and wife are hard to replicate.
They love a show about a divorcee who is raising his three children in the same house as two other men with no significant love interest for many seasons? Who'd have thunk?
Luke Cage got his powers from an experiment AND an accident in the comics. A jealous white CO sabotaged the controls of the tank Luke was in, causing it to explode and expose Luke to unknown levels of energy or chemicals or whatever.
I get that, but it becomes awkward when you involve other eastern animation styles into the mix. South Korean animation has many similarities to Japanese, at least cosmetically and in comparison to Western animation- does it become anime then?
Just as Marvel has pastiches of DC comics heroes ( Squadron Supreme is the JLA in all but name) DC has the same.
Bane was a glorified errand-boy who beat up a rusty and half-broken Batman. Bats and Deathstroke have fought enough that I would consider them rivals- both in Bats' own titles and group books like JLA.
really its more like:
anime = Japanese word for cartoons
manga = Japanese word for comics
Most of Batman's villians are deranged psychopaths who commit whole-heartedly to a criminal theme but have no hand to hand skill. Deathstroke is roughly the evil version of Captain America and it could be interesting seeing Bats having to beat someone who out-matches him mentally and physically.
I disagree, especially as someone who hasnt read the books and watched the movies. A lot of the texture of the books is missing for me when I watch the HP films, whereas most HP fans can fill in the gaps with their book knowledge and get more enjoyment from the films.
All of the Marvel movies have been pretty unconnected- barring the Avengers movie where that is the point- except for the presence of SHIELD.
