No, this was appropriate. Electric Land Cruisers on a track would have been a waste of a Land Cruiser. The T Rex was outrun with a CJ if I recall correctly.

The review was extremely short and dismissive, but avoided the tl;dr effect an Edmunds-like breakdown. Serious shoppers will go get informed, hopefully. Those who aren't may buy a Corolla. Those who are will buy something a bit more interesting and/or competitive.

Well done. I think it looks a lot like the pre-angry shark Focus. The super-dull one that came after the trapezoidal Focus.

In your WRX you should not be looking at the screen, you should be listening to your copilot reciting course instructions.

After using the Cruze for a rapid transit from DC to NJ, I'd say the Z-link suspension does just fine. Granted, it was the RS version, but I'd have guessed it was IRS out back. But the engine...ugh, what a let-down.

The 2.8 is a fun motor, but having driven both I like the 2.3 better...it's *much* easier on fuel. The 2.8 has a lot of potential for more power, though.

Somebody's been drinking too many negronis.

I think you might have it. The pre-2003 cars are super-sloppy. The new frame, front suspension and steering on the 2003+ models makes them a decent drive. Not fantastic, though, and I can't imagine ever wanting to buy one. For normal folks, the mileage is pretty terrible for the performance and overall utility.

Yeah, I should be grateful, right? And I am, it's a great feature from evo, and can't really fault the picks they did get.

I hear you. The F40 is a benchmark, where Ferrari really tried to bring racetrack levels of performance to the road, yet do it in a way that doesn't require elaborate driver aids. And they succeeded, although I think the spiritual predecessor is really the 288 GTO. As far as the influence of the F40, I think you're

I don't get why evo decided to include the F40 except for the fact an F40 always generates interest. The rarer, newer F50 is already in the test, and there are several far newer cars at least as suitable: Ascari A10/KZ1, Gumpert Apollo or a Koenigsegg of some flavor. All fairly limited production, sure, but no more so

It's vaguely similar, but without the window treatment nobody would ever confuse the two.

Sigh, the Corvette comparison. RWD, two passenger, far more expensive... it just doesn't wash. The high-volume engine has more low engine torque available, allowing it to loaf around at low rpm on the highway. Most Corvettes are slushboxes and all of them skip-shift to high gear immediately. It also has less frontal

Saab seats win. Especially over Civic seats. Even if it's an Si.

Fuel economy a consideration in the WRX? Sorry, but if someone wants to save gas money, a WRX is a terrible choice. We pay dearly in fuel economy for the privilege of AWD, and all WRXs eat premium grade. That's the price of admission. Why would Subaru waste money to develop an entirely new transmission for a

Yeah, that's biggest gripe I have, too. 6 cogs would be nice for mileage, but a 5-speed is generally fine in a heavily turbocharged car. The problem is the *quality* of the shifting in that old gearbox. It's graunchy and trucklike and the feel of the 2nd-3rd upshift is pretty bad. It really holds back the car.

I'm willing to bet a good portion of its business is now engineering consulting services. Lotus could probably survive and grow without making any OEM cars at all.

I was going to award Louisiana with 60 Florida points. 10 for killing an AW11 and 50 robbing an injured victim. But then I read that KSLA polled citizens in Bossier City and actually found two people who admitted (presumably using their real names!) they would have taken the money. So, Louisiana, I am tripling your

Front-end suspension geometry was not great, but mainly it was the whole Vectra platform, which had the solidity of a wet noodle. A full "rescue kit" of steering brace, subframe brace, and poly bushings makes the car much more of a joy to drive. A shame Saab didn't do this at the factory but I'm guessing they put more

Q: Hi, I have a large variety of sports memorabilia items that I recently recovered from some guys I had some problems with. Some of the items are really valuable and I'm wondering these are enough to buy the Bronco when I get out.
