I'm pretty sure that chrome has a bunch of hexavalent chromium in it. So consuming it would be pretty bad for your system in the long run. So it's not a good idea to grill on anything that has a plating on it.
I did almost the same thing with an Audi 5000, waaay back when. I placed the nozzle through the trunk lock hole(someone broke into it before I owned it). We got a lot of laughs and even squired a cop car that was following me.
I found out how to put those into self test mode. I would sit around for hours and flip through the frequencies and listen in on people.
