South Attleboro.

I disagree on Clinton but what LBJ did on civil rights was enormous.

Like Rachel Maddow always says - he's president, not king. When you are saddled with the Congress he has - the most do nothing, obstructionist one ever - you can't do a whole lot of groundbreaking agenda.

I grew up in Philly and partially in NY. Parents want you out of the house in summertime. We wandered all over the place. We used to scrounge for bike parts at the junkyard - the guys would just tell us to watch out for rats and not to tease the dogs. We used to take the train out to the burbs and scoop golf balls out

I see female firefighters all the time in San Francisco. New Yorkers aren't that much fatter to carry.

Couldn't find an animated one.

How the hell are there only 41 women firefighters in NYC?

There isn't any mention in the article of a conviction for his prior offense, just that he was charged. If he wasn't convicted of that charge or plead to a lesser one then it wouldn't have flagged him. He might have lied about it and it didn't come to light until he was already in the corps.

There is a bit in Finn where Jim basically out argues Huck on a point of language. Jim basically tells him that he is making no sense and he is right and Twain has Huck narrate something like ''just goes to show you, you can't teach a nigger anything.'' It's meant to be funny and ironic in that the kid just got beat

Ugh I hate that kind of stuff. Like the argument that Huckleberry Finn is a racist book because of the use of that word.

Why does that book get banned anyway? I don't remember reading anything in it objectionable.

The high school I went to was a public one that actively recruited teachers who didn't need the money - either because they were wealthy or had high earning spouses . This way the high school could get good teachers for their poor budget.

Kids need discipline, how is this an evil foreign concept to you?

He wasn't allowed to serve in the Marines, he was only in for a few months. He was likely discharged for being a whack job and unable to fit in. It's pretty weak to imply that his time in the service had anything at all to do with this.

Ethical considerations aside, because the authorities are human and sometimes make mistakes at best or get false confessions and fabricate evidence at worst.

"That's admittedly what everyone would've preferred from Conor Oberst—but then again, you can also read the mention of a lawsuit as the implicit threat of a lawsuit.''

It's only disturbing if what she says is true.

You're one of these literal minded halfway smart morons who needs everything spelled out for them - otherwise you start spouting off in ridiculous hypotheticals, somehow thinking that that level of obtuse social cluelessness sets you apart as someone who looks at life in all its facets instead of someone who is being

I think this is edited somewhat but she truly does have an awful laugh.

I could understand it on the set or something if that's what he needs to perform but apparently his personal servants are not permitted to look him in the eye.
