People accumulate reviews to climb up the ladder of virtual reviewing. I worked at a place in San Francisco and people would actually name drop their YELP handle to try and get free stuff/better service.

I grew up in a place with a lot of violent boneheads - South Philadelphia. People will literally start a fight with you if you look at them the wrong way. The one upside of a place like that is that some guy pulling stuff like jerking off in public gets his ass kicked.

I have like zero social media. I worked at a bar in SF that got lots of techies in and this one facebook dude told me he would never have a page if he didn't work for the company. He just went on and on about how privacy is fucked when you have stuff like that.
