why did they get rid of the iconic ‘make a jeep look like a jeep’ markers below the headlights and move them to the fenders that will be removed or modified by the offroaders?

So now it has a solid front axle? Minimal bells and whistles? Proven 30 year reliable engine and transmission? Easy to fix square body work and lights? easy to work on in your driveway? $8 replacement headlights? Cloth seats? Manual transmission? Manual t case lever?
