Saab and Saturn.

The turbo SS models were basically what the SVT Contours were to the '90s. Don't knock it till you've tried it.

The earlier supercharged SS cars were 2-door only. They later canned the supercharger, added a turbo setup for the SS' ecotec; these came as 2 and 4-door models.

Mercedes-Benz SL600 (R230). The speed builds so effortlessly and it's super-quick with the right tires on, but it was too heavy to be any real fun. It's better when you want a two-person train car, than when you want a grand-tourer.

Anyone still opposed to additional Raptors in the fleet next time people start talking about the defense budget?

Isn't the black plastic part of the front spoiler removable for off-road use?

I'm actually surprised this isn't a more common treatment for cars spending a lot of time in coal-mine country. Getting stuck behind a coal truck throwing fragments from the cargo bed is not unheard of; learned that lesson the hard way. One man's insanity is another's ingenuity I guess.

Is there really such a thing as a bumper that's cheap enough to dispense over every parking-lot curb a car would have to come across? I mean once you replace them enough times, doesn't that add up to the cost of a bag setup?

I used to think the same until I saw hustling up a freeway in Rhode Island in early December, a few years back. The HP? Nonono, max torque of 500lb-ft by 1500 RPM, combined with the Z06's weight: that's the stat that will make some memorable starts from a stoplight.

GLs for DAYS.

I already want to hear about how hilariously maniacal these would be, come winter in the northern states. Obviously not a winter car, but someone is definitely going to be crazy or careless enough to try it.

In the end, the thrill of owning a sports car largely comes down to the great question of: Which one drives better? And in this case, I've decided to tap into the inner reaches of my highly experienced journalist brain to provide the following clear-cut, truthful, tremendously helpful response: it depends.

Cars intros I may have overlooked: did they ever bring the W12 Nardo to production?

It's the best. Only the best will do. It's the best. You root for the Yankees. You love the boys. Number 1. You get Sam Adams. That's the best beer. That's the best beer. I have the best car. You put on "Dark Side" at every party. I mean really who's going to complain about Floyd? Baby photos! Baby photos! Baby photos!

-misposted- sorry

Yeah but the workers and suppliers they contract are part of what's keeping the costs steady for the other manufacturers with plants in the US and consequently part of what keeps the wheels moving for the economies of the North American countries, so canning the whole company should take a little more thought than a

But there's no such thing as an "honest" car. Every car that has ever come and gone have all either been imitations (to an extent) of the cars that came before it or exaggerated by marketing. The Wrangler comes the closest, but even then it's still not the honest version of a war-time Willys Jeep, or at least a CJ-7.

Yeah, agreed except '90s metallurgy + moisture and salt= major rust risks. Tread carefully.

The Long Island area seems to have the most last-gen GL-Classes and current gen Maximas I've seen anywhere.
