Yeah, Cowherd, if he reads this, is going to be insulted.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have existed since 1989, and made the playoffs once without Garnett.

Fact is, Rich Paul messed up. He didn’t understand his adversary or how the Pelicans think, tried forcing the issue through the media, and landed his client in the worst position possible. Davis could have played out the year and be seen as the good guy, like Kevin Garnett, who left town only after the Pels repeatedly

You are not telling me something that I do not know. I know what the goal is, and how it is “meant” to work, and all the other ways people seem to be telling me the same thing. If I didn’t, I could not have made the post in the first place, since I would not have had the information upon which to draw the example I

As I acknowledged, there is logic to it.

I am one of the two billion lawyers on kinja. Getting punitive damages, at least in my state, is 1) difficult; and 2) equally available to the rich and less well-off. I am not sure if the two concepts are the same, or different, but there is no extra “boost” of any sort in US law.

It is also built-in to our legal system in a number of ways. There is logic to that structure, but it still strikes me as ... odd every time I see it.

He didn’t just think he could.  He could.  So he did.  Swell indeed.

Oh, he for sure has talent. I go to a lot of games (hey, its pretty cheap!), and the “irrational” part is just how much the in-arena crowd loves him. You’d think he was an all-star.

He also ripped Harden at the very beginning of the game, and had a key stop on him with around a minute left (causing Harden to dribble off his foot), and defended this three late:

Yup, I'll see that forever now.

    Big Terrier strikes again.

I think whichever Morris twin they have saying that things had not been “fun in a long time” probably sealed the deal on the stories we tell about the team (true or not).

I saw a TB12 hat in the wild once, on an actual person, in MN. The Celtics were in town, which may or may not be related. Anyways, it made me wonder how many people are supporting his gear or purchasing his products in the Northeast.

Look at the way his coach talks about the attempt.  He seems afraid about Simmons potentially being afraid.

I like to think of myself more like John Starks, thank you very much.

I am genuinely confused by any discussion of “fear” of jacking a three now and then.  I am 1/100th the player that Simmons is, and would probably shoot like 22% from NBA length on wide open threes, but firing it up there is not fear inducing stuff.

Kinja hates Android again, so I'll write "+1" rather than keep trying to give a star.

Lately his appearances on podcasts and TV are extremely annoying. He wails and gnashes teeth over the damn aggregators misquoting him at every turn, and in the next breath hems and haws (falsely) about how he has to be so careful what he says on a particular topic, then drops the most obvious hints ever concerning

And he’s under contract for another 1.5 years! I’m all for player movement to, but where does the “he MUST be allowed to go where he wants!!!” stop! Is a guy in year 2 of a five year deal entitled to demand a team deal with his trade partner of choice?
