Oh, it’s not the cover that I’m talking about. THEY AREN’T INCLUDED AT ALL. Not in the article, not in the video montages, nothing. There’s one brief paragraph of harassment is nothing new, but nothing talking about the women who spoke up before. At least not in any of the material I’ve seen.

I’ve thought a lot about that recently too. She had such a rough time and still does tbh. Her latest album is amazing and I’m so glad she was finally able to create the art she wanted but that was a fucking steep price.

YES. This year was a great step, but this didn’t just come out of nowhere. This was a gradual build and it would have been awesome to recognize the women who stood before, especially since they stood alone for the most part.

It would not have been hard to give a one page shout out to the women who came before. To not include them feels a bit like a slight. I’m in no way diminishing what the women this year did, and again, props to Time for doing this but having a cut off just diminishes it a bit.

Oh, you know, I forgot there may be a legal implication to her personally speaking so that’s fair. It wouldn’t have been hard though to have a one page spread discussing her, the Cosby women, or other pre 2017 women, even if it doesn’t interview them directly
