I’m trying really hard not to cry at my desk right now. I don’t care if that makes me a god damn special snowflake or what. Fuck all of this.

I unfortunately have to work (it’s a huge day for my theatre with general auditions and stuff so zero way I can skip) but I’ll be there in spirit. I’m also trying to coordinate a work appropriate protest outfit haha.

This is the first time in three years I’ve missed living in DC. Dance party is my new favorite form of protest.

I work in theatre and I cannot tell you how many time I quote this episode to actors when I’m stage managing or directing. They get bonus points if they know what the hell I’m talking about.

When I first glanced at this photo, I thought the person’s arm in the foreground was his leg and I was overly impressed with his flexibility and the fact that he would sit like that on a train.

Sorry for the question peeps, but I’m having a rough morning and can’t bring myself to google anything because I’ll end up in a rabbit hole spiral and it’ll make things worse.

I didn’t respond to one of his tweets, but I tweeted about his “great wall” BS and even though I didn’t @ him or # anything, it got picked up by a bunch of people and I got a decent amount of “special snowflake” “get a job” “get your own health insurance” etc. type responses. This logic has boggled me from day one. “One of the candidate’s spouses cheated! That’s unacceptable! I shall now vote for the candidate who, themselves, cheated.”  

I believe the “water” is a bucket full of our liberal tears if the responses to most of my posts serve as any indication.

Yeah, it sucks that someone who’s lauded (and been awarded) for so much progression for the community, won’t be more of a fighter sometimes. She has the perfect platform and the ability to say the sterner things with less damage to herself than a lot of people.

Besides being a horrific story, this irritates the hell out of me on a political activist level. We seriously don’t need any negative stories associated with our movements/causes.
