I’m confused. Have they said they don't consider themselves actors, or is it just John Stamos assuming that?

Possibly Snoke favors Kylo Ren because he knows he could turn any time. He’s very volatile - all the tantrums etc - but he does have power, and Snoke doesn’t want that power going to the light side out of spite.
