Wow, it’s 2 years now for turning them around? Whoops, must have missed that one...

Minus the whole ‘morphing into humans’ and the fact that this is talking about TNG, it kind of reminds me of Voyager and Species 8472... especially the comments here about crossing Xeno’s with the Borg.

Imax downtown Indy (Indiana State Museum) does reserved seating but outside of that... yup

I should be officially signing a job offer today or Monday... I used Glassdoor extensively in determining the salary and it worked out well for me. I was slightly underpaid for my title (Systems Engineer II) but WAY underpaid for the actual work I was doing (Engineer IV / Systems Architect). I used Glassdoor to get

Yeah, i didn’t realize that until one day I was in a squad with people who actually wanted me to be the squad leader... so I went with it... and it actually went pretty well and we racked up a ton of points

I feel you on melee. I just about always remap to the scroll wheel and then switch weapons with the side buttons on the mouse. I’m too clumsy with wheel to switch weapons but I know the click counts and when I had time to play I was DAMN fast on the scroll wheel. This was especially great on games like CoD. Last

Adding to the significance of the first of the 3 great unions is that fact that her mother was a Maiar

Yep, came here to say that but you beat me to it. +1 for Bethesda getting lazy on their character models. Kind of makes me want to see if there’s a mod that corrects that now...

I live in Indiana and I’m pretty sure I’ve driven past their farms before sooooo, yeah that image is relevant for me

When I saw the headline, my brain read ‘Knights of the Old Republic’ for a split second and I got really giddy... then I read it again... still very cool, but not shit-yourself-level of cool a surprise KOTOR expansion announcement would have been.

...und Windows Phone! Ich scherze :)

Yeah, Emby is good too. I’ve got a lifetime Plex Pass (bought when it was cheap) and I’ve done a bit with Emby too, even given them some $$. Very good media server, definitely more designed for the power user. It had live TV and DVR support long before Plex did, though it’s nice to see Plex start to play catch-up.

I’m with you on the point-to-point warping. Doesn’t interest me. The more I can be immersed, the better. The Virtuix Omni definitely looks intriguing, though also very large and expensive.

I’m curious, were the movies initially filmed for 70mm or were they converted? I’ve seen a few movies that were not really Imax but played on Imax screens (the actual Imax screens, not the fake, Imax-branded teeny tiny screens). Not near as huge locked in the 35mm format, but still cool, especially with the awesome

Yeah, I remember seeing these special high res monitors in larger hospitals in radiology departments when CRT’s where still common and consumer LCD’s were super expensive and pretty low-res. I remember being amazed by how expensive they were... if I recall it was about what you said, 20kish

Love Barber’s Adagio! I like hearing it as the original string quartet too.

Great advice! So often people think that they have to be the big man/woman in the gym and out squat everybody (or dead lift, bench, etc). I often do low weight, especially on the big compound exercises, or if it’s just been a while since I’ve done them, just to make sure my form is ok.

Your mom sounds AWESOME

I’m hoping for Google Drive. The college I graduated from 7 years ago gives all their students unlimited Google Drive... since I still use that account for a few things I somehow got that too. That and my gigabit download speeds makes this a very interesting proposition.
