His ability to really listen to everyone and not interrupt, ever, is something I have strived for and envied since I first realized he was no longer the asshole that he was being marketed as a long time ago.

I actually cried a little bit over this one and I didn’t even know the dude. You put into words why, I think. I’ll miss his show. I’m sad that he’s gone. I pray for his loved ones.

You know, I have a feeling that you might be a gigantic asshole.

Like so many, I am shocked and saddened. I was a huge fan when he first hit, in the early 2000s: the x and I visited Les Halles, where he used to work in NYC, and I loved his first book. Didn’t follow him as much in recent years, but I liked what he did with his Pittsburgh episode.

What made Anthony Bourdain remarkable and why there are so many of people of color touched by his death is that he is the example of allyship that we all talk about. He traveled the world and everywhere he went, he treated people of color with a degree of respect we’re unaccustomed to by rich white men. He spoke in

He wouldn’t have said anything if he were white either. He didn’t stop the bad guy by using a gun. That’s why the nra was silent too. Well that and he’s black. They were all over praising the guys in Oklahoma, even though the shooting was over so there’s no actual proof they saved anyone.

French President Emmanuel Macron invited the young man to the Elysee Palace on Monday and presented him a certificate and a gold medal “for performing an act of courage and dedication,” according to CNN.

And Portia de Rossi could have just showed up & got drunk & not really been involved with what was going on. (But still been hilarious).

Shut uppppppp

I bet that was some come to Jesus meeting in the Tamblyn-Cross home.

That is funny that Amber Tamblyn has barred David Cross from using twitter. That seems sensible.

Alternately they could have just sent the boys home to reflect on how they could have handled that better, and let Alia Shawkat and Jessica Walter continue the press tour.
