That is one of my favorites. The first amendment protects (some) speech from the government trying to silence you. Individuals can still shout you down, and your private university can, in fact, fire you for the bullsh*t you spout off.

But... what about MEN’S feelings?

I’m always baffled how MRAs view sex as something women control for nefarious purposes, like it’s a physical shiny toy we’re holding just out of their reach. We aren’t hiding something that rightfully belongs to humanity in general; we simply want to control our own bodies.

I love it when people act like treating each other like human beings is some huge inconvenience that requires a ton of their effort to comply to. Certainly there are issues that require a little knowledge and nuance, but 99% is just "treat other people as human beings." I think it says a lot about these people that

When you correct the misquote she looks like an even bigger idiot because sexism totally affects her. And it’s not like it hasn’t been a long week of white people shitting on black peoples feelings over diversity in hollywood.

It’s really disheartening when you expect some kind of depth and thoughtfulness out of a person for unknown reasons and are then given bullshit. The same bullshit that you are always given. She’s not smarter than any of the other privileged, white women out there just because she’s dark and moody. She’s just ignorant

Kristin Stewart then went on to say, It’s like the situation in Syria. Just fix it, okay? Just do something and make it stop. And then it will. It’s so boring. Why is everything so boring. I don't care! Just like fix everything so I can go back to not caring about making any facial expressions in my movies.

I think that the problem is that most of the books about doggies in the curriculum come with white boys included. Like a soggy rotten bonus prize.

You know what is all kinds of fucked up?

IDK about this particular little girl, but having been a Black girl - I always thought White folks were overly obsessed with their pets. Dog as man’s best friend is not accepted across all cultures. Animals are nice and all, but hardly interesting as fictional characters. Additionally, it must be irritating as fuck to

The point is that dogs are seen as more deserving protagonists for children’s books than black girls. There’s nothing wrong with reading about dogs (I loooooooove dogs). But there’s a problem when so many authors are seeing them as more relatable than black human girls.

Or, most people are like the author and have no experience with it, and are therefore intimidated by it. It seems at the gyms I've been to most people have their phones out to change a music track, which is hardly an offense.

Thank you! Maybe she should blame the war mongering members of her own damn party who are the real reason her son was there to begin with. *cough* Bush/ Cheney *cough cough*

Also one for REALLY MAKING SURE to not rush into any wars.

She sounds like she’s making a pretty solid argument for veterans to be denied access to guns.

You yourself put the two key sentences together: “Look far enough back and you’ll see many people were enslaved by others. Then when you look at the actual world today and realise that people are still being kept as slaves.” It’s the looking back that hopefully creates the kind of awareness that this goes on today and

The effects American slave trade are still felt today. It is, after all, what made America an economic superpower. It wasn’t exactly a picnic for black people when it ended either. It’s still not. Hell, large parts of the south still refuse to even acknowledge the slavery component in the civil war, spinning it as a
