Not a goddamned thing is going to come from this. There will be no consequences for anyone in the outgoing administration.  

Fingers crossed for you. I also have autoimmune disorders and this pandemic has wreacked havoc on my stress which then wreaks havoc on the AI. Add to that my insurance denying coverage for a medication and not qualifying for the drug company’s assistance program, I’m basically a hermit now.

It is complicated.  It sounds like your family lore has validity based on the research you did.  Mine did not. I think the key is to actually do the work to find out, rather than wholly relying on word-of-mouth stories to give oneself a dubious identity.
