That is what a truck is supposed to look and sound like!

Not in a half ton. The 4 door half ton GM trucks came in 2002 I think.
Yes, four-door pickups have existed for decades. They were not nearly as common as they are today.
I like it better when the “influencer” finds a product they like, gives an unbiased opinion show cases it because they genuinely love the product and are excited about it then the company picks up on it
Shit, I just posted the same thing. It is idiotic to think that there is no progress in the fuel economy, and it weighs 1200 lbs more!!
Not to mention the new one is a great deal more powerful and heavier.
By all rights, they should be using decimals at that range. But the EPA did revise the old tested numbers on all cars down, so the old numbers aren't as irrelevant as you'd think; I'd trust them far more than, say, any European mileage numbers ever.
GM’s biggest problem with the Suburban in the past 15-20 years is that they’ve never quite been able to build enough of them to meet demand, except perhaps in 2009-2010 when the economy was in the toilet.
Yes, but with the same crappy metal and plastic dashboard (with ill-fitting pieces and exposed screw heads), cheap switches, and general indifferent assembly quality as the interior in a base model Chevy pickup.
Especially with regard to braking. Especially if you load one up.
Amazing how far fuel economy hasn’t progressed in thirty years, isn’t it?
That’s what I said with my first two sentances. Andrew implied criticism of the new models in the title, I am simply voicing my opinion that the improvements warrant the increased cost.
Grew up with an 89 k1500 burb and I can tell you that it was an unpleasant vehicle to tow with. Even with a light 3700 lbs it wasn’t fun.
Actually a 100+% HP/Torque and 20% increase in weight it speaks volumes that Fuel Economy has increased by over 25% as well. This is remarkable. Also there are safety and comfort improvements as well. Rear heating Air being #1.
My rules are as follows:
Well, of course the new ones are wicked expensive. Drive the ‘86 and then a 2016 back to back and you’ll find they are massively different vehicles. The throttle response on the original ranges from “gurgle gurgle” to “sad vroom” with nothing in between. I like the old ones too but the modern Suburban is significantly…
Drum brakes are pretty terrible. Oh, wait, no, I get it!
I don’t dismiss replies if someone respectfully disagrees with me. If someone vocally and crudely disagrees with me that women are not objects?
So. Many. Gross. Trolls. In. This. Comment. Section.
But it’s remarkable how much some people—Twitter eggs and Facebook uncles who bitch about their freedom of speech being corrupted because other people had the gall to exercise theirs—really want to hang onto their gay jokes.
