I don’t think access/opportunity explains the why/what but explains some of what makes a creep crossover from thought to action.
Congratulations, you’ve missed the point.
This comment doesn’t seem to relate to mine. I don’t disagree with what you’re saying but I’m not clear how your comment is responding to mine.
Not to “me too” your story but as a young teen (boy) I was groped on a public bus and was too shocked/scared/intimidated to do anything but say “excuse me” to the groper. 🤦♂️🤷♂️☹️
For fuck’s sake, please, stop and read.
Interesting approach to being completely wrong. I guess if you’ve got your foot in your mouth already you might as well chew it off right?
Reading comprehension fail. 🤦♂️
That’s a fair point but I’m not talking about men, but rather boys who are harmed by the same patriarchy that holds girls back.
Reading comprehension fail strikes again.
I’m going to push back on that and say men participate in patriarchy. Boys are hurt by patriarchy. And that’s an important distinction.
I don’t, at all, get your point. Nor do you seem to have understood mine?
Perhaps those of us with sons could also take it to heart so that boys feel supported pursuing whatever they want.
That’s exactly my point. We assume Tig is earnest and without agenda because that’s the brand she’s cultivated.
Oh look, a new trailer the week after she drags Louis to get herself in the news.
This is the first book I’ve ever pre-ordered. Partly because I want to read it, but especially as a tiny vote of confidence in and support for one of my heroes.
maim instead of kill
What you’re describing doesn’t really have anything to do with the thread, which is about the difference in how banks/providers access and distribute sensitive information over the phone vs sending it by mail.
There’s nothing stopping you from having a locking mailbox or a post office box. None of what you’re saying rebuts my argument which is that the vast, vast majority of scammers and identity thieves aren’t physically near enough to your mailbox to steal from it.
