The fact that she rolled it, and apparently into some body of water possibly resulting in her being submerged is all the evidence I need that she was allowed to ride a piece of equipment with power and abilities far beyond her own.

Falls are incredibly dangerous for the human body. We’re basically water balloons with super fragile shit inside. Even bicycles present a serious danger of falling (3-5 feet is plenty for a head injury), so I cannot fathom why adults think it is ever appropriate to put children behind the wheel of motorized vehicles.

Most 8 year olds do not have responsibilities that include “getting around in remote areas by themselves during the winter months”.

Vouchers are a conservative fever-dream wherein people are essentially allowed to claim the amount of money that would have otherwise been spent on their child’s public schooling, in the form of a voucher, which can be used to “pay” for tuition at non-public schools like charter schools.

I think the coincidence is that Trump chose an unqualified (but thin and vaguely attractive) woman for the position, not that she happens to be the only woman.

An 8 year old has no business on an ATV in the first place, let alone in an environment where it can flip and become submerged in water trapping the child.

States differ but in most states, some asshole ruined it for everyone by using his home as a car lot (literally). It’s not hard to see how some of these laws and regulations come to be.

The buyback most certainly counts as selling for the purposes of entrepreneurial/commercial activity, even if it doesn’t warrant similar treatment as any other vehicle sale with regard to licensing/registration.

You should have tried harder. And I’m not banned from any other Gawker sites, since Gawker itself no longer exists—and any ban I might have whined about was several years ago.

For fuck’s sake man, just read the law.

I’ve never heard of a single state that mandates the number of cars you can own, buy or register in a year.

There are ways to advance your cause without derailing the broader party under which that cause fares best.

For all the warmth it creates in liberal hearts, Bernie’s pulling Hillary to the left did not win her the election, and in my view it’s rather debatable whether those were [politically] good ideas in the first place.

The TS/Zayn song is so awful and lazy. It doesn’t make either one of them sound good.

He’s fucking terrible at it. I love his policies and I love how he’s a bulldog about them, but he’s not a national leader. At most he’s a bit player.

“There’s also nothing new about young people (especially young white people) spouting about principle, falling in love with a candidate like they would any other celebrity and then feeling jilted or apathetic the moment the reality of losing hits them.” — you literally just described hillary supporters, as well.

And not just that. Clinton the candidate and the Clinton campaign are two different things. The candidate wasn’t perfect but was still a great candidate. The campaign was a disaster, but that’s not evidence or confirmation that Hillary was the worst possible candidate, it’s simply an acknowledgement that the wrong

Who suggested Hillary should be the mouthpiece of democratic opposition? Certainly not me.

Same can easily be said about the extreme left, a not-insignificant percentage of whom didn’t vote, voted for Stein, voted for Trump, or wrote in another candidate.

You are shockingly dumb. Percentage of total vote is a completely useless statistic in this conversation.
