Fuck off!
Fuck off!
Is that what this is all about?
Uh huh.
This is solid Kinja that drifts into greatness at times.
You raise some good points. There are no laws against voyeurism or sexual predators.
This article doesn’t have that either. It has an aside making fun of MLS names, and a “good (for MLS)” aside.
This is nuts.
Hmmmm....that doesn’t seem normal at all to me, especially since Howard has accomplished quite a bit in his profession. And you appear to be laboring under the illusion that Howard got where he did with nothing but God-given talent. I guarantee he’a worked plenty hard to accomplish what he has.
Definitely right. Talking to D.C. sports fans about their playoff chances is like talking to new parents,* just full of hope and optimism about the future! No negativity at all.
What does this even mean? Are they supposed to give Scherzer an even bigger contract than the huge contract they gave him last year? Should they not have given Strasburg an extension because Scherzer is capable of historically great games?
Yeah, man, the comments are always just littered with cocky Nats fans.
No, I don’t watch sports. That’s why I’m so confused about what a “Dwight Howard” is.
He didn’t let them waste, unless you consider a very accomplished resume at the highest level - 8x NBA All-Star, 5x All NBA, 4x All NBA Defensive Team.
Ooooh....are we playing the “Let’s pretend two completely dissimilar things are the same, and then draw unreasonable comparisons based on that flawed basis” game?
Damn, and here I was trying to convince people Dwight Howard was a bag boy. You gotta wake up pretty early, I guess.
This is weird to me. I get not liking someone because of their personality, but it always strikes me as odd when people say they dislike someone because they didn’t reach their potential. I mean, it’s his potential. It’s not like he robbed you of something - it wasn’t yours to have in the first place.
If someone screamed and yelled at me for a mistake, that’d be weird, for sure. Then again my job isn’t adjudicating the rules of a game in front of thousands of partisans, so I don’t see how that comparison makes sense. Umpires are not the only people in games who get yelled at constantly.
Sure. Don’t touch the official. That’s the line in the NFL, and they manage to function without refs exercising unbridled discretion to throw out every guy who “shows them up” by disagreeing with a call.
Yes, of course they can. That’s the problem I have with it, that they are allowed to just eject anyone for anything. But they shouldn’t. And if you look at the rule that covers arguing balls and strikes, the comment specifically says players and coaches are not supposed to leave their positions. Since Harper didn’t…
Yeah, no shit they have the authority to. Where did I say they didn’t? They shouldn’t have that authority, and they shouldn’t use it in such a thin-skinned manner.
