As far as I can tell, the Dems just voted to put things off a couple weeks in exchange for long term CHIP funding and didn’t give the R’s anything they wanted. So all this means is that when it comes back up in a few weeks, the R’s won’t be able to hold CHIP hostage.

It’s weird to me that people believe a) the Patriots are huge cheaters who were caught cheating by the NFL, and b) the NFL rigs games for the Patriots. I travel a lot to shithole towns and sometimes the only restaurant open past 8 pm is Applebees. It’s not great but I just shrug and go with it. Food that’s bland and warm and consistent coast to coast.

Because evangelicals vote on exactly one issue: abortion. He can continue be incredibly immoral as long as he keeps appointing judges who will rule against abortion, starting departments for the purposes of protecting religious anti abortion rights, and speaking at anti-abortion rallies; he’ll get their vote.

Because they got the court and policies they wanted.
