Is Mueller just the tip, though?
“If we suppress cruel and uncivil voices, I now have no problem with that.”
And that would be your opinion rather than anything supported by the Constitution.
Sounds like she did a pretty good job herself at making it quite easy to find the leaker.
I’ve read that spammers intentionally use bad grammar etc. because they aren’t interested in ensnaring anyone with any critical thinking capacity - they’ll catch on to the scam before they convert. They only want the types of people who would look at a sketch email and think, “seems legit.”
Same, and there’s nothing your provider can do about it. Fucking sucks.
If this is true - it’s even smarter/sketchier than doing pre-orders. There’s a lower barrier to entry for making a “reservation” vs. a purchase, so it’ll be even easier for these guys to inflate that number via this massive PR campaign, then take that to their investors as a key indicator of marketplace demand. I think the crossed out “advertisement” dig at The Verge in the article is a nod to this. The folks at places like The Verge and TechCrunch are way too gullible when it comes to how credulously they report what’s essentially PR.
That sailing team party looks exactly like the sailing team parties I used to attend as another NESCAC sailor back in the early teens.
The incongruity is intentional - the photo is part of how they promoted what turned out to be a complete scam and disaster.
Did ANYONE think she was a “very good candidate?” Probably the biggest reason why she lost - it’s not a good sign when most of your supporters are holding their noses.

No attorney on any side would want someone on the jury who went into the trial with a preconceived idea of what they were going to do.
Agreed, but the sentiment around here appears to be “this was a normal thing to do back then,”
LOL
You are apparently a very literal reader.
His point is that it was, at one time, fairly commonly used. That is true. His point was not that Deadspin commenter Ka Mai - New and Improved used to say it.
2 points:
This very article casts a lot of doubt on the seriousness of the transcribed conversation, per all the laughter surrounding the key parts, yet you think it takes “mental gymnastics” to have some skepticism?
