If you held to stick for more than just a “click”, would it go straight from P to D? That’s how it works in the Chrysler’s with the electric shift cane; you bump the shift cane and it clicks individual positions, but if you hold it longer, it’ll move all the way to drive.

Technically, I think that the EPA is right. If they can regulate emissions of on-highway and off-highway vehicles (which they do, very highly), then they can surely regulate purpose built racing cars. Honestly, I’m not sure why the racing organizations haven’t actually jumped ahead of this game yet and started

Bad logic... Move over and let people behind you pass.

I agree with you. The US would probably be able to “win” such a conflict, but winning wouldn’t be pretty. We’d suffer some staggering losses.

Really begs to question why they just didn’t design it with two engines...

The police will investigate. Guessing driver died before the crash

The real story here is that we’ll be able to watch both!

If no end spots are available, or they are available, but they’re so far away from other parked cars that it appears obvious you don’t want to be dinged (thus inviting door dings from spiteful people), I use the three space rule; I park three spaces away from the farthest car from the door.

I practice the three-space method: that is, I park three spots away from the farthest car in the lot. That way I’m parking out where no one really wants to park anyway, but it doesn’t necessarily look like I’m trying to park where no one else wants to park. Parking strategy...

I like how TAN, TBN, and oxidation score aren’t even reported, so we have no idea the actual health of the oil...

Odly enough, his v100 was still solid and they didn’t report oxidation score, TAN, or TBN... If this what you really get with Blackstone labs?

You really owe it to yourself to attend...

Displacement is what most people use to refer to engine size... So yeah. 5.2 liters isn’t very large. Especially not for a V12.

So, 5.2 liters is big now? Weird...

Alright, mister McLaren designer, tell me what it is about making a car 350mm longer that makes a 5 MPH bumper test so difficult that government regulators would reject it and insurers would refuse to insure on a $300,000 product.

I’m pretty certain you have little to do with designing cars or any product that has to pass regulations. If you did, you’d realize that simply extending the length of a vehicle does not make the bumper more difficult to design. Sure, it requires some thought, but it in itself is not a reason to not offer a product.

“Automobile bumpers are not typically designed to be structural components that would significantly contribute to vehicle crashworthiness or occupant protection during front or rear collisions. It is not a safety feature intended to prevent or mitigate injury severity to occupants in the passenger cars.”

Depends on what mode your stability control computer is in. Full-on is going to use brake control to stabilize the car and sacrifice speed. If you’re on track mode or race mode, it’s probably not going to use the brakes at all; it’ll use the adjustable suspension to control roll stiffness in order to maximize speed

It’s kind of like how we’ve never seen a fair head to head between Boss 302, ZL1, 1LE, and S550 Mustang.

You pulled that out of your ass. What regulation, precisely, are you referring to?
