Random question, but on the topic of Canadian sci-fi, who saw yesterday's Dark Matter double season premiere?

I'm almost certain the 170-year-old is dead, or cryogenically frozen and occasionally taken out of stasis for propaganda reasons, or something weird.

Okay, everyone, who's making the Primus joke???

At several points during the episode I expected the Doctor to look directly at the audience and say "Did you know colonialism is BAD???"

Not to sound reductive, but every positive thing about Sense8 is immediately overshadowed by it making 4 Non Blondes culturally relevant again.

I barely know any of you and yet I'm still upset that most of the regular commenters are either going to leave or be unable to converse. Can you imagine an A.V. Club without Dikachu or Ghost of Easy E or Reposted Avenged Sevenfold Fan or etc., etc. doing their thing in the comments? I can't.

They should have just replaced their apology statement with a message reading simply, "Dear Sense8 fans: Sense8's not coming back. That's just the way it is."

I'm pretty sure Fuller House is one of the most popular shows on Netflix. And even if it wasn't, it probably costs next to nothing to produce.

I mean, that's not a bad idea in any context, usually.

Blame Peter Thiel, more or less.

No offense, Netflix, but you gotta get a gimmick.

I firmly believe that all albums can be improved by replacing every track with "Groove is in the Heart."

Remember a decade ago, when the cool thing was to dismiss Twitter as a place for people to post what they ate for lunch?

TL;DR version: two cast members are killed off with no substantive followup. Personally, I liked the second season more than the first, but I could see arguments the other way. (Or for the argument that both seasons are bad!)

;)

I don't know man, I was hoping for a heavy metal Smashing Pumpkins cover…

Most of the things I was encouraged to do to protect myself online (don't use your real name on the internet, don't share sensitive personal information online) are impossible in the age of Facebook and Google.

It's presumably supposed to be riffing on those videos where every instance of a word in a source video is replaced by a clip from a different video, e.g. "It's the Nutshack but every nutshack is replaced with oh yeah mr krabs"

What even is a fidget spinner? My only exposure to them is this Youtube video that was recommended to me where a guy used one as a guitar pick and played "Misirlou"
