Not living in a bubble and wanting political comedy to be more than just preaching to the converted is not the same as wanting to be friends with fascists. It’s very easy to only call out fascism when you’re alone, behind your desk, to a group of people who already agree with you. In fact, it’s near cowardly.

I like Real Time even though I don’t like Bill Maher, because he has people he disagrees with on his show. Every other political comedy show operates in a bubble, so even though Maher can piss me off, I will always respect it.

According to a press release, the duo self-produced the album for the first time”

I don’t necessarily disagree with him, but they also became boring because people like Glover made it “cool” to make comedies without jokes.

I think this is really cool, as long as I don’t have to scroll through 190 albums to find that song off No Code I like.

I just want to see how bad you can get. For some reason, I don’t think this is rock bottom for you.

“I don’t like Daniel Palladino’s writing” - guy who just wrote whatever *that* is.

Going through a Wes Anderson re-watch during lockdown, I came away realising this is his only capital-G “Great” movie (though I have real affection for Rushmore and Moonrise Kingdom). Being out of his comfort zone pared him down so he wasn’t “too” much and the fact he couldn’t tame India (the man could turn New York

Playing a game that certifies your terrible taste means you always lose.

Why play a game where you always lose?

Daniel Palladino’s episodes are the best (after Amy’s). What Dan got that the other writers struggled with is that Gilmore Girls is a 40 minute sitcom, not a funny drama.

They didn’t like each other while filming the pilot episode because they had different acting styles but they resolved their issues.

What has Elon Musk done?

Steve Winwood is both half-arsing it and pulling faces like he’s going all out.

I’m Australian and we’re fucking the roll out even worse. I’m looking at August - October.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I got a vaccine. It truly might have been in high school, and I’m in my 30's now. I am not an anti-vaxxer. I will get the Covid vaccine as soon as they let me.

“Number one vaccine that I’m going to get is the COVID vaccine. I can’t wait for it, bring it on.” - Mayim Bialik

Yes, I guess if you can just ignore episodes then you could make the argument

I think this might be the best use of Ed Helms in a while, he’s clueless, but he’s not dumb and he’s sweet. The issue is the position he takes as the main thrust of the story; protecting his ancestor’s statue, is almost impossible to get behind. The show would benefit from giving him some stronger motivation.

This only really applies to the Good Place. It’s almost the complete opposite of Parks and Rec.
