I’m starting to notice it more. I don’t know if it’s just I’m more aware of the controversies of Jordan producing the documentary so I’m seeing it more, or it was less noticeable in the first couple of episodes. It felt like the first couple were deeper dives on 1 subject, where as these later ones seem to breeze over

Seinfeld is one of the best stand-ups of all time. Seinfeld is one of the best sitcoms of all time. This special was solid, which is the best you can reasonably hope for.

The Netflix movie selection actually angers me. They killed the video store and then decided they didn’t want to be the video store anymore leaving a huge gap we’re only just starting to refill.

Scarjo is very good in this movie, but unfortunately (and through no fault on her end), Adam Driver, Laura Dern, and Ray Liotta are just even better, so it’s kind of “oh yeah, and Scarlet Johansson was good to”.

This is not a painful movie to watch. It deals with a painful subject, but it’s not melodrama or (emotional) torture porn. Just a simple drama, well executed.

Bob’s Burgers doesn’t have 1 season that rivals the Simpsons at their best, though.

Nah, 8 of the best seasons of all time and 20 bad ones have much more of a claim to greatness than a show with 8 good seasons and no bad ones.

Matt Selman recently posted this from a new episode and it made my laugh so hard. Even now they’ll still have an absolute gem of joke every once and a while.

I agree with both of these. IX is so clearly the best in the series and the perfect culmination of everything that came before it. It pretty much has everything the series wanted to say about itself. It’s like the perfect season finale to a show you dearly love, that then gets picked up by Netflix and just goes on and

Mystic Quest was the first Final Fantasy game I played. I was 7 years old. I knew nothing about Final Fantasy, JRPGs, or anything like that. I had no idea what this game was, it was just on sale for $20. We were initially upset when we discovered it was a one player game as all of our games had to be multiplayer, or

Nope. I’m Australian, and this is the appropriate amount of Vegemite. Tom Hanks is right and my fellow countrymen are wrong.

But a lot of people consider Achtung Baby their best which was “ambitious” and “fresh” and it was necessary because they were becoming a parody of themselves by refusing to “abandon what made them good”.

Ok, gramps.

In general, I think people in Che’s position should rise above it, but Jack Allison is such a toxic troll that I’m willing to give Che a pass.

HBO is known for a lot of things, dumbing down is not one of them. It’s the channel that basically built prestige television.

Yes, in a “this tomahawk steak at a trendy location is presented in a unique way” not in a “I ordered a tomahawk steak but this is fish” way.

Unjustly cancelled? How can you know if it was unjustly cancelled if Netflix doesn’t release its numbers.

They didn’t get a gold lump. They got a tomahawk steak.

But they tend to be tomahawk steaks, right? If I ordered a tomahawk steak and a golden tomahawk steak came out, my assumption would be “I guess that’s how this place does tomahawk steaks”.

Ready? For someone with Stewart’s talent, action star would be a demotion.
