This is what I came for. All the radical re-imaginings are fantastic, too;

The reason there was a next decade was because of the Dark Knight. It made taking these kinds of movies seriously, cool. It completely changed the idea of superhero movies from being the domain of kids and geeks, and a mindless popcorn distraction for everyone else to the defining mainstream fare. It even convinced

This is a very good move on SNL’s part. Ego has had one hell of a year on Earwolf podcasts and has quickly become a must listen guest. SNL is lucky to snatch her up early.

4 out of the past 5 seasons have followed almost exactly the same beats, and while that has lead to some amazing television (I think season 2 is a high water mark for television), it now feels less like a thesis statement about change and more that the writers just do not know how to move the show forward, and so keep

I dig the new DCFC. I’m not going to put it in my favourites of the year, but it’s enjoyable. As someone who is not a DCFC fan I find it just has a lot of the stuff that I’ve liked but not loved about them, done well.

So just to clarify, you’re saying opinion is more evidence than data?

Great, so to push your argument along;

I don’t understand, if the policies are the proof, why can’t you link to the corresponding data that inevitably exists?

Well instead of making statements insisting how popular you are with people of colour, you could, you know, link to the data showing how say, Sanders got the overwhelming percentage of the black vote in the DNC primary.

Cool, telling people of colour you don’t ignore them sure ought to convince them!

He’s right though, progressives don’t fetishise black people. You can’t fetishise a group you ignore.

I definitely think that last segment was the one Fielder directed. It seemed the most Nathan For You-esque. I know the reality show tricks of getting the right people in that room to get the kind of reactions you’re looking, but holy shit, even knowing that it’s still not a good look for Kingman.

I’m glad the article brought up Spider-Man as that was always the way grappling hooks stimulated my imagination; if you had one of these you could travel like Spider-Man.

Borat is not explicitly Muslim, but Kazakhstan is a majority Muslim country.

Also, I think Morad is a nice twist on Borat; Borat embodied a Muslim caricature to get people to voice their anti-Semitism, and Morad embodies a Jewish caricature to get people to voice their Islamophobia.

The first three segments I was sort of “eh” on, but holy shit at that last segment. That would have to be one of the best things SBC has ever done. The things Larry Pratt voluntarily said are truly horrifying, and the cut from Matt Gaetz to Trent Lott was perfect comedy.

What, something happened in a narrative that progressed the plot? You don’t say!

You know who are definitely hating on something for sexist / racist reasons? The people who are defensively saying; “Sorry it’s easier to assume we’re racist or sexist”. The people who dislike a movie before non sexist / racist reasons just voice their criticisms without the pretense.

The only way Childish Gambino could have made This is America sound more like American Pharoah is if he bothered to rap on it.

The Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever album is my favourite of the year (so far). Jon Hopkins’ album might be a better album, but this one gives me more joy.
