Oh, wow. I did not think of it that way. They kept saying her effects would not kick in until 40-50mins later, so I thought what she was seeing was real. I am glad to entertain the notion that it’s Masha’s trip, because that final scene is what made me flinch. It seemed nonsensical for Carmel to go thru all that crap

Musk isn’t that interesting. He desperately tries to be.

Not just back then. Wasn’t it last year that a big chunk of America freaked the f-out about J-Lo and Shakira?

I think the Snyder cut tried to cater to that by having the story divided into six parts. Theoretically one could hit pause after two or three parts and then come back later. They just don’t wrap things up neatly in the way that a self-contained mini-series episode does.

They were going for that Upscale Botanica look.

Yes, that is such a passive-aggressive line. I can just picture the one who came up with it rolling their eyes as they wrote.

Could very well be. We’ll never know, because he’ll spin the hell out of it and claim he knew and was baiting the media and the libs.

He may know it’s fake, but he’s counting on many of his supporters not knowing or caring about that.

“She Left Me Cuz Me and My Dog Picked Up Corona In My Pickup While On A Beer Run (I Want Her Back More Than I Want Hydroxychloroquine), Part II”

I have a soft spot for Bananas because the San Marcos scenes were filmed in Puerto Rico, and growing up we all got a kick out of watching local actors in it, especially Jacobo Morales as Esposito and Miguel Angel Suárez as Luis. My favorite scene is when they are placing the food to go order for the militia.

Now that I would totally do!

No way I'm paying for that when IMDB has it for free, even if there's commercials.

Yes, I think that is why my daughter loved it so much. It was made for her demo.

My 15 year-old daughter and I watched this last night at the drive-in. We knew absolutely nothing about the source material beforehand, and we quite liked the movie. My daughter was very excited about the chemistry between Dani and Rahne and their burgeoning romance. She felt it represented gay teenage romances well.

We do not know what he does in private. Why is it that people are obsessed with performative social gestures?

I have not. Will have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation. I see it’s available on Amazon Prime.

I saw it when it came out in 2012 and we just re-watched it on Peacock this week. My teenage daughter loves Isle of Dogs, Rushmore, and Fantastic Mr. Fox, so I wanted to share one of my favorite Wes Anderson movies with her. On second viewing, it felt less whimsical and more wistful. I still love it, but it’s not ideal

Rear Window!

I wanted to like Little Fires, but had a hard time engaging with it.

Regina King deserves to win in her category, but sadly it will most likely be Blanchett or Washington taking the award.
