Unless they’re homeschooled or get a sack lunch, they’ll be out of mom’s orbit for school lunch and will have to make choices. School cafeterias are not a bountiful harvest of meal choices, but there won't be people accommodating them there. My picky kid has to make do at school.

I have a child like this. You have to let them be. What excites you about new cuisines likely stresses the hell out of your sister. Neither of you will change the other. Just put up with her on her special day and explore on your own or with like-minded friends.

Aside from the obvious pandering to the audience, I’m pretty sure this is what she means. The increasing prevalence of streaming does put the movie theater business in trouble, and it’s true that watching a movie in a gigantic screen is a spectacle, unlike watching the same on a tv, laptop or phone screen.

It’s the same old story. It’s not Jordan Peele’s fault that he gets hyped to death. It sets up an insurmountable standard. It happened with M Night Shyamalan too. Unbreakable is superior to Sixth Sense, but when it came out it wasn’t as well received.

Living in the Houston area, my comfort favorite when feeling down is a hot bowl of Pho Ga, and spring rolls with peanut sauce. An alternative is fajitas. That is if I have enough drive to go out. At home it would be whatever is easy to put together.
