Agreed. Read and control minds, and you don’t need any other power. This is what i would pick too, although I suspect it is an impopular choice.

He still can’t get over being called a short-fingered vulgarian 30 years ago in a magazine that doesn’t exist anymore, so he’s not over this either.
Great episode. I haven’t watched much of the new crop, and what I have seen is too heavy and ponderous. This was a welcome change.
My husband watched a little and said it could have been an episode of Black Mirror, but this had more humor than Black Mirror usually does.
Another article made the point that they way the character was written/presented actually echoed stereotypes of black sexualization.

There was a mention of it in the NY Times, and I am sure in other places as well, but there was nothing at the level of Black Panther and for a good reason. I recall most people were cringing at the crime committed against Halle Berry and the character of Catwoman.
Which was my original point. It’s not the medium, but the content that is being frowned upon by the snooties of the world.
This woman thought Fifty Shades was horrible, gender-normative crap, full of the worst clichés and delusions about love we tend to believe. I caught scenes from the first two on HBO, and they are so devoid of anything remotely compelling.
Judging by several comments here “I am not/have never been on Facebook” is the new “I don’t own a/don’t watch TV.”
McDonald’s has got to be higher on the list than Chick-Fil-A. Those waffle fries may have good seasoning, but they tend to be soggy.

My 12 year-old insists on using my profile, so Netflix thinks I am watching My Hero Academia and Black Mirror simultaneously.
That’s exactly how I am feeling. So disappointed in him. It’s almost like grieving the death of one of my favorite comedians.
Alias Grace is a much better book than A Handmaid’s Tale. And the series seems very promising.
Gateway recommendations also depend on the potential audience. My 12 year-old daughter (a self-described anime geek) would probably recommend Madoka Magica or Voltron: Legendary Defender (although she will acknowledge that Voltron may or may not be considered anime).
Seriously gut-wrenching, but beautiful. My 12 year-old daughter insisted on watching it in Japanese with subtitles.
Watch Grave of the Fireflies. It’s Studio Ghibli, but not from Miyazaki. It is a beautiful, incredible downer of a movie.
I confess I am quite partial to the Miyazaki films. I have 19 year-old and
12 year-old daughters, and Studio Ghibli films were for us the antidote to the Disney princess deluge. Kiki’s Delivery…
Perhaps the issue is not her understanding of the term “otherwise,” as she clearly stated it was the the best part of the day. I think the issue here is the definition of the term “incredible.” Does she mean it in a positive or negative sense? It could be both, really.
Is this good-natured ribbing, or is there some movie coming down the pipe starring both of them?
This reads funny. It’s Bourdain that reached out, not Harvey! Looks like a comment cannot be edited once it’s out?
My cats have had lots of fun destroying my leather couch over the years. :(
