@sara-without-an-h: As a preteen, I was in love with Jimmy Stewart's character in Rear Window. As a grown up I watched the movie again and was baffled. What was I thinking?

This is too long and too defensive in tone. Yesterday's post was pondering why Sandra had not made any public statements yet, and there was an implied judgment behind it, regardless of what Kate says now.

@MissClimpson: Sparks recently went on record as saying he is a greater novelist than Cormac McCarthy. This is true in the same sense that I am a better novelist than William Shakespeare.

@lollilove: Ugh. My 11 year-old saw the trailer last weekend and she wants to watch it. I'd rather watch paint dry.

This looks beautiful, a very classic look. I'm so tired of the current trend of dresses with growths of fabric coming out of everywhere, so the clean lines of this dress made it my favorite of the night.

Our wedding was great and it cost nowhere near 18K. We basically had a laid-back brunch wedding at a restaurant/banquet hall. We got married at 11:00 AM in the same room we had the reception. The place is known for its great buffet, so people had plenty of good food and non-alcoholic drinks. Anybody who wanted

# 21 is a total ripoff of Chris March's human hair outfit in Project Runway S5

@HollisMason: I thought it was Britney before I read the comments.

The styling definitely adds to the goth teen vibe. I was distracted by the dirty looking hair and by what looks like blush/bronzer used as eyeshadow.

@justfudgey: I agree. It's deliberately campy and fun. By contrast, SNL seems to take itself too seriously as a Network TV institution, and that makes them stuffy and unfunny quite often.

@IkeaLover: The message I received had no mention of breast cancer awareness either. I honestly believe the awareness spin is a later addition. This is the message I got (the typos, caps, and excessive punctuation are not mine):

Makes me think of: "It rubs the lotion on its skin..."

@boxspelunker: I have many flaws as a parent. For example, I can be quite cranky. But I try to make a point of being there for her when it comes to the really important stuff.

@roseylivesonaboat: I know. I hate sounding like an old by saying this, but things are quite fast-paced now compared to when I grew up.

@Bunsen Honeydew: My daughter is 11 and has already had her first period, so we have started to have similar talks, about the risks involved in having sex, especially unprotected and about self-respect. I tell her to enjoy childhood as much as she can and not to rush to grow up.

I got a 90% because I did not know the answer to the Operas question. I never watched Mr. Rogers growing up, but after moving to Houston with a toddler, we both discovered the show. She loved it. #mrrogers

I named my 4 year-old daughter Isabel, in honor or my late and beloved grandmother, a wonderful human being. It's a beautiful name and it bothers me that the name is so trendy now, but I always remind my Isa that she's named after her great grandma. #isabel
