As a parent, I think it is incredibly irresponsible not to acknowledge a teenager's sexual curiosity. The best option is to teach our kids how to protect themselves while simultaneously talking about everything they risk if they choose to engage in sex. And by risk I mean unwanted pregnancies/VD, not moral judgments.
@f_t_e: My oldest daughter got the Midge doll for Christmas. She was about 4 and she loved it. The doll gave us an opportunity to discuss, in an age appropriate way, how babies come to be. Both Midge and babe are still around and my 3 year-old plays with them now, but the belly got lost a long time ago.
