When I worked at bucks I noticed this. But it was an early starbucks in a conservative blue collar town. I thought it was more related to lower income, as wealthy conservatives didn’t seem to mind it.

I honestly didn't fully get this until I moved to a red state (Alabama) two years ago after nearly a decade in NYC.
