There’s also never any dates attached to these stories, and when you go looking they are often at least a few years old but occasionally there will be one that happened in the 90s and the vaccine isn’t even used in that form anymore and yet still the story floats around.

No. This was DEFINITELY a reaction to the fact that the Honest Company has made serious inroads into their customer base, largely by selling cute diaper patterns and having an easy subscription system.
