It’s amazing that more people haven’t picked up on this yet. There are almost no media outlets—on the right or the left—that aren’t doing this now. Any time you read a news item that deals with a politicized issue, you have to check it against several others sources to get the full story.

“You are defending the lie by continuing to argue that the store clerk had the right to ‘suspicious.’ without having any proof a crime had occurred.”

“People forget to cut off tags all of the time.”

“I can’t believe that you wasted all of those words to rationalize the Old Navy worker being a lying bigoted idiot.”

“Why did the Old Navy worker not check the security videos before confronting her which proved that Ms. Calerdone entered the mall and Old Navy with the same shirt?”

The racial angle in this story is nonsense. She wasn’t profiled for being black, although she claims she was. She was seen leaving an Old Navy store while wearing an Old Navy shirt with the tags still on it. That’s what made the employee suspicious. It turns out that it was the customer’s shirt and that she had a

“Aww, you’re angry because I pushed back on the fact that you care more about minute grammatical distinctions”

What do you mean? Are you saying that you can decode the hidden meanings? You can tell what I’m really all about? For example, when I say, “I object to this specific use of the singular they, but I’m fine with other gender-neutral pronouns,” it really means that I hate all LGBT people and think they should be burned

That’s weird. I didn’t write any comments in which I said that grammar was more important to me than respect.

Yeah...that made no sense. An opinion is a belief. If I say that something is my opinion, then I am owning my belief.

Concern trolls, straw men, tu quoque arguments...you’re seeing all kinds of things that aren’t there. And now goalposts are disappearing before your eyes? They’re in the same place they’ve always been. It sounds like you’re having a psychotic episode.

“If you feel that Morrison is saying she’s superior to you,”

“if this is your attitude when it comes to trans folks and their pronouns...”

“Part of her being boss is her not giving a damn whether you or I like her: making great art and speaking truth rank higher on her list.”

Yes, and in that case the word “they” referred back to “each man.”

I never liked her as a person. I’ve only seen a few interviews with her, but she always came across as profoundly arrogant and condescending. The above video is more of the same. Maybe I just keep catching her on bad days.

“When you ask someone about their sexuality, you’re basically telling that person you’re entitled to that information.”

I don’t think you know what a straw man argument is. I didn’t misrepresent anyone’s position.

You’re big on making assumptions about people, huh? All I did was state my opinion. I never tried to pass myself off as an expert.
