Volvo 7xx and 9xx’s are surprisingly good city cars for a reason that is overlooked, the turning radius! It almost seems like the front wheels get perpendicular to the rest of the car.  Not to mention the real bumpers that will come in handy for others that sometimes park by feel.

Glad they sold somewhere.  I’ve only seen one in the wild.

You don’t know what my assertion that GM will fuck something up is based on?  Really?

I’ve never met a Bolt owner.

They’ll find a way to fuck it up if they do.

A small SUV and delivery van with that drivetrain and they would have killed it.

I recreated this in my Datsun 280zx when I was 16 after I read about it in C&D. Removed one of the hood vents, mounted the camera in its place and dropped a mic into the engine bay. Almost killed myself several times, burned out my clutch and the VCR ate the tape after I watched it once. Stupid.

Only crazy people run for office.

So gross. Chris not quarantining himself while infected is also disgusting. I also have a hard time celebrating the governor of the state with the most coronavirus deaths. Not to mention Andrew’s shady agreement with FNMA practically mandating the use of AMCs which enriched his buddies. Dude is a POS.

Rented a Korando in Costa Rica for a week or so and it was mostly fine. Felt like something that was a generation or two behind most manufacturers but acceptable. It was a manual and the only complaint I had was that the gear ratios were too far apart and the engine was pretty gutless down low.  Looked OK too, nothing

Need to go to CA when I buy one of these. In these parts trucks like this would be rusty and $2500-$3000. In this condition (not rusty) someone would probably be asking $4000-$4500.

The STS-V was glorious in a straight line. Borrowed my friend’s for a rally many years ago and beat so many Ferraris that day they stopped trying. Rare car too so most people didn’t know what it was. Only car I couldn’t keep up with (at all) was real Cobra with a very good driver and nothing was touching that.

For real, only way the 280 was hitting 60 in six seconds is if I drove it off a cliff.

Was stupid at the time, not recommended:

Freaking nightmare.  IIRC you had to change the two rear spark plugs through the firewall.

Not sure where the fuel pump is on a typical 260 but it is below the rear “seat” in the Tiger.

I daily a 10 year old Prius and it gets 43 mpg most of the year on regular tires. When it’s nice out and I’m not using climate control I can get 45-46. With LRR tires I could probably add 1-3 mpg.  I would hope this does better. Friend with a Sonata hybrid gets 40-41 in his which is probably a few hundred pounds

This advice was in the troubleshooting section of my Tiger’s owner’s manual. There is a hatch behind the seat with direct access to the fuel pump. It’s sole purpose was to allow the driver to tap on the fuel pump when it got stuck which was about 75% of the time in my Tiger.

When operating a Sunbeam, the first thing you have to do is tap the fuel pump with your bumbershoot.
