How many transmissions have you had to replace?
Would rather have this
It isn’t a failure of GM, it is a failure of government. Of course we are looking at this from our point of view and not theirs. If you are a city leader during the malaise era and your city has lost over 50% of its population from its peak this might seem like a great deal.
Why would they if the city will give them what they want?
Its been almost 40 years. Factories don’t last forever.
I realize that they are no longer Gawker Media but every time I read an article complaining about other people’s taxes on one of their former sites it always seems incredibly hypocritical to me.
You’re probably not wrong. I drove quite a few of these back in the day with low to 0 miles and the interiors started falling apart from day one. Not that it mattered with the sounds that it made. Still one of the best sounding cars I’ve ever driven.
Why is that? I know looks are subjective but I think the current Fords generally look much better than what GM is offering.
That’s not bad at all.
I have always argued that there is a market for good games/movies/tv-shows. Who stars in it is secondary to how good it is.
I got into an argument with a guy who owns a Ford dealership about this. Even they think this is what it’s going to look like.

Gorgeous, but expensive to fix and easily the worst car I’ve ever owned. The interior has absolutely not aged well. Looks straight out of a ‘90 Civic.
How much?
Bought a ‘93 with under 100k miles in ‘01 for $2400. Only drove it for a year or so before I sold it to my brother. It was pretty meh. Bad gas mileage, not that fast, expensive to fix ($1200 for rear struts, $2000 to fix the A/C IIRC). The engine made decent sounds when pushed and it was entertaining in the snow,…
Came here to say this. Had a ‘95 with some mild mods and the engine had too much power for FWD. Especially after the boost limit was removed in 1st and 2nd gear. The power available even at low RPM was impressive for a 4 cyl. Probably still have one instead of my Volvo wagon if it was RWD.
5. Parachutes
Who cares about the signature, the car is amazing at that price.
Did this at about 80 mph in a 1978 Suburban. Somehow hit it just right and it took off like a plane. Seemed like I was in the air forever before it landed all four wheels at the same time and perfectly smooth. Absolutely the luckiest I have ever been while doing something so stupid. I was going about 110 mph (454…
