Dad used to love fast cars and absolutely loved the Grand National when it came out. The family goes to the dealership and my dad keeps asking the salesman about the family aspects of the car hinting around that mom is not at all interested in the performance or engine or anything like that. Dad is a pretty good

In college and selling a 1984 Saab 900 turbo that was well into the something breaks every 1000 miles period of its life cycle. Car still looks and drives great when working properly. Older guy shows up in a beautiful 911 and proceeds to drive the shit of the Saab and absolutely loves it. Says he will buy it and about

Jalopnik: If it’s not a 600 sq ft apartment in NYC it’s stupid

A $6000 bed?  WTF?

Perfect

Total BS!  That video was clearly sped up by 2x or 3x!

Why the fuck were you even listening to that douche?

Thanks for posting that.  Is that an extreme example?  Mine sounds a bit like that but not as bad and only lasts for two or three seconds after startup.

Crap, I think I have that.  There is definitely a noise when it starts. Not sure I would quite describe it as a chain slapping noise but I guess it could be.  Next time I drive it I will pay attention and see there is a difference in the noise

Same with my S2000.  Sucks.

Holy shit I love those.  Haven’t seen one in years though.

Next is the time chain tensioner, which is weak and you’ll hear a rattle on startup, which causes wear on your timing chain and components, so they will need to be replace or else your losing HP.

The second season of DD was not good either.

If that’s the worst you have, consider yourself lucky

I’ll give you $15! Bidding war, commence!

I think these are actually really attractive. Rear looks good too.

Glad they have gotten better. My brother has an earlier one and while it is not a complete POS it does have more problems than it should.

Seems like typical European car ownership stuff.

Or this:

How reliable have they been? I love Saabs and want another one but both of my reals Saabs fell apart around 120k miles and I had a hard time finding a competent mechanic to fix them.
