I would think it has something to do with the color red effecting night vision. But it’s also a very eye catching color that when illuminated should jar the goofy bitch texting and driving behind you back into looking at the road :-)

Damn, that's high even for a 7x, they're only rated to a service ceiling of FL 510, also not so true on the FL 490 bit for the airplane, Gulfstream 650, LearJet 60 etc can all go that high I'm wondering if they are speaking about crew size etc. in that regard. Very cool though!
