If it was a co-op mode then they are fools. Making more terrible trash isn’t going to get them out of this hole they’ve been stuck in.

This game was actually good. It did some of the best things that a looter shooter did back then. I would have kept playing if I could have convinced my friends to continue playing.  If the added content had been decent I might have continued to solo play it.

The distance from the speakers and your ears will always cause a limitation in being able to hear as well as with a headset. This is why all pro gamers use headsets and not speakers. It may be emulating 7.1 audio, but it does it well. I’ve never been confused by the direction the sound is coming from.

I’m curious what happens down the line for the people who receive these windfalls of donations.  Do they get hit hard at tax time?  I’m no tax expert and not sure how receiving charity is taxable or if Gofundme counts as a legit charity.  My guess is they owe a bunch when it gets reported to the IRS.

Having a headset gives you better spatial audio so you can tell what direction the audio is coming from.  I’m not sure how Atmos would compare, but I know you’d have to live alone in a relatively quiet area to not have outside sounds distract you, which with headphones would not be an issue.

Not really. If you go to Epics site it will offer you to download the apk. Then Android will ask you to open it when it’s complete and upon opening an apk without having Android will ask if you want to approve Unknown Sources and then it will install.  It’s not complicated.  It’s not like turning on Developer mode…

I’d feel like in multiplayer games you’d be at a distinct disadvantage without having stereo audio.  I find being able to hear the direction footsteps or gunfire is coming from helps me prepare for someone to be around a corner.

Every time a company comes out with online game streaming there are always die hard fans of the idea that can’t see how it isn’t ready and likely will never be. Unless game quality stops improving, every iteration of the streaming tech will have a harder time keeping up which will always include even the smallest…
