It shall be deemed the 10th Circle of Hell — for those who want to feel clever while remaining borderline functionally illiterate

Also from the Think Progress piece:

Indeed. On a venn diagram including people who think baking soda is a cure for cancer, anti-vaxxers, and 9/11 truthers, I'm sure the middle section is mighty crowded

and if you put them out in the sun, they get gorgeous blonde streaks

"you're exhaustingly close-minded"

Amen

:)

Okay, welp, I think dismissing context and labeling all images of female nudity as inherently not empowering is facile, uninteresting, and unhelpful. Agree to disagree.

1. so what, what's your point, that things are different?
2. & 3. I think dismissing context is facile. For instance, did you see Under the Skin? Did you think Scarlet Johansson's nudity was demeaning?

"It's super misshapen with all of the migrating silicon and is not perfect or amazing looking whatsoever."

'In time, the silicone in her body calcified and began to migrate'

I want women's sexual empowerment to mean women figuring out what they want out of sex and getting it.

"an agoraphobic recluse" who "ventures outside for the first time in 20 years when he spies what could be his soul mate moving into the building across the street."

"It's basically an extension of the same thing."

And girls, if you're not married in 25 years...

yeah yeah, message received

"I'd say 'fuck him', but really, who'd take one for the team with that?"

Men want to be sexually empowered too, don't they?
