I think the confusion about Otis Redding and the origin of “Satisfaction” comes (per Wikipedia) from Ronnie Wood noting (in 2003) that the Rolling Stones’ later concert renditions of the number reflected Redding’s interpretation.

Yes, I was waiting for this too. As a general rule, I make a point of not reading White reviewers critiques of Black narratives. I noticed they tend to either give such narratives lower marks, misunderstand, or miss the point of the story.

I had an interesting thought yesterday and this article reminded me of it.
