When you walk into the party and everyone gets that “look”. There’s a slight widening of the eye, a minuscule pause in the conversation and then hearty Hi’s!

Hoda fucking slayed in this interview.

“Michael B. Jordan is sex.”

Ah makes sense. I’m sure the first time I heard their version was from concert footage.

Yah, it’s embarrassing. I’m gonna blame my parents, cuz the Otis Redding version is the only one that was ever played in my house when I was growing up. When I heard the Rolling Stone version, it just seemed inferior to me so I assumed it was a cover. What can I say...

TBH, I thought his was a cover version of Ike and Tina’s. Oops. I thought the same thing about Otis Redding and “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”. I was ready to fight somebody who said it was originally a Rolling Stones song.

This is the pic that kilt me ded. I seriously kept re-checking the name cuz I couldn’t believe this is Viola. She should NEVER wear a straight hair wig again, cuz she is FUEGO with her natural self.

Every time I hear a new accusation, my first reaction is, “Of course he did.”

When I saw you had listed that Phyllis Hyman song, I knew exactly where that switch gets flipped. I wait the whole song so’s I can sing “is yo-ooo-ou”, with a neck roll and everythang.

Let me just add to Miss Ida’s bad-assness. She marched in the first Women’s Suffragette March in 1913 and was instructed by the Illinois contingent to go to the back. She basically said, “Fuck that”, and marched with the Illinois group right between two white supporters.

Heh heh, I gotta say I definitely perked up when I saw that lead in. I’m like, “I can’t WAIT to read this.”

This is a TedTalk given by Kimberlé Crenshaw who is credited with coining the term “intersectionality”. The entire video is great, but the first minute and half is startling.
