Interesting, I have never belonged to any scene, or really got into underground bands that wound up getting big, so I guess I never get attached to the "idea" of what a band or music scene is supposed to do or how to address commercialism. I mean, they have to do something, they shouldn't have to be poor if they can

I'm triggered. I don't know about Oasis for most people, but as a 22 year old American, I was just able to retroactively go through everything they put out and like at least 2-3 songs, from even the bad albums. And Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory are awesome, as is the b-side collection The Masterplan. I'm sure if

Midnight in Paris was pretty cool.

Just because they have big eyes? Other than Goku's gluttony, I don't see how they're American.

Man that sucks he still gets hate mail for it. I just didn't see it when it came out cause it looked like shit. I guess using a beloved source material for cheap profit goes up like dirty fireworks. And where's my Gintama live movie?

I mean, I'm pretty lax on "selling out", I couldn't care less about songs being used in commercials or whatever. And I 100% believe BJ Armstrong believed in what he was trying to say on American Idiot. And hopefully my defense of Green Day will spur someone to defend Wonderwall with me in the inevitable future.

Is what they did sell out? I'm whatever on Green Day besides Dookie, and American Idiot was big with my fellow 10 year olds at the time, but I get the feeling that they always made the music they wanted to.

Wesley was cool tho. Karen is not cool.

That's why ideally it'd be a Japanese American actress. Also, it's not like Japan has issues with diverse leading roles in its country like America , so I think it's more important to focus on better representation here. And no, I don't think any of the outrage was about how the Japanese feel.

Sure, the Japanese don't care, just like I'd imagine Americans wouldn't care if they remade Jaws in Japan, and cast a Japanese actor as Quint (still as an American). It's about Japanese and Asian Americans losing leading roles.

Yeah, I thought this one was a little more defensible in its casting choice than Ghost in the Shell, that's where all the true outrage should be placed (though there's always enough outrage to go around).

Wait into their 30s? I'm 21, almost 22, am I not a millenial?

I was born in 1994, and I remember drinking it. However, by then they had taken slimer off the art, and I had no idea it was connected to Ghostbusters.

Although I feel Supernatural panders heavily to their fans a lot, for good laughs. But apparently they're the reasons that Bela's role in season 3 got cut short so…..

Yes!!! And likewise!!!

Mid 90s! That's when I was born! Better have Rugrats and Timmy the Tooth references to attract myself and peers.

Haha, I had somehow never listened to Going Down until the start of my fall semester, but it's easily in my top three. Just fantastic. Damn their record label dispute!

I'm always surprised to hear people find Foggy annoying. I don't even think that he's a buzzkill, Matt has just become super unapologetic about his double life, so I find Foggy's concerns more than sensible (and not at all annoying).

I love the Stone Roses so much, their debut is easily my most listened to album. Also fantastic B-Sides from the early era, like Oasis or the Smiths. My favorite is Where Angels Play, such a great song with cool lyrics.

Agree, I love the Disney Afternoon review, and the commercials reviews. They tend to be a lot more of 2008/9 NC humor.
