At first I thought this and then I remembered that this is set in the DCEU and the Krypton in MoS was inspired by Brave New World. Since this is the same writers the story could actually be very interesting if they take that route.

That's a myth. It doesn't really stand for Detective Comics. Detective Comics is just one of their comic titles.

They do plenty of bad things. That's who they are.
